Halo Infinite will add new weapons over time.
Aside from frustrations with progress and monetization, Halo Infinite multiplayer has been received quite positively by fans. With that said, one has to wonder about the absence of fan-favorite weapons like the Fuel Rod Cannon, the classic shotgun, and more.
In a recent video for Game Informer, 343 Industries Creative Director Joseph Staten responded to a question about whether fans had seen all that the game’s armor had to offer.
Staten responded, “The answer is a resounding ‘no, you haven’t'” and added that it was a “pretty safe bet” that more weapons would be added over time. There may also be secret weapons like Halo 2 Scarab Gun, though he pointed out that, “If I told you, they wouldn’t be secret now, right?”
Finally, unsurprisingly, more content will be added with each new season. Season 2 for Infinite halo begins in May 2022 with the cooperative campaign in the same month.
Other features like Forge Mode won’t be added until summer 2022, although details on it will be revealed in January.
Halo Infinite The campaign launches on December 8 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC. It will launch day one on Xbox Game Pass. For more details on when the campaign is unlocked, head here.
