35 states are now supporting Fortnite and Epic Games: Although Fortnite continues to flourish as one of the giant iconic games in gaming, Epic Games is still at war with Apple in the present lawsuit about Apple’s share in profits as well as antitrust concerns.
Despite how well-loved Fortnite has been on every platform. Epic does not shy away from speaking out in its discontent over its arrangement with Apple and how the percentage of profits hurts not only the publisher.
However, any developer who decides to launch their games run on an iOS device.
Epic Games filed the lawsuit in August of 2020 after the company introduced an innovative payment method.
Players could buy V-Bucks, which is Fortnite‘s in-game currency, directly from Epic the game, which would cost less and cut Apple out from its share of profits.
Apple was quick to react by removing Fortnite from its App Store. Epic immediately filed suit, which included an in-game short movie titled Nineteen-Eighty Fortnite, a parody of Apple’s advertising from the 1984commercial.
Amid a lengthy legal fight and revelations, the state of 35 has pledged support to Epic Games. And has stated that Apple’s behavior is “harming mobile app developers and millions of citizens.”

Microsoft is a massive player in Fortnite for the Xbox console. It has expressed its support for Epic in the lawsuit and argued that its intervention would cause more harm and create no competition because of its dominance over markets adjacent to them.
At present, both CEOs from Apple and Epic Games have testified in the latest trial on this matter.
Epic’s Chief Executive Officer Tim Sweeney has been the most vocal. About the issue and has been repeating his position regarding the case. For years before the lawsuit was even filed. And has said his company’s App Store fees were crazy and unjust.
There aren’t any clear indications of how the matter can resolve in one side’s favor. Epic has received the most support from the public in the past few months since this lawsuit came into force.
The most critical issue that not resolve is whether we’ll be seeing Fortnite come back to the game on any iOS devices shortly; however, this may be a long time away for a while.
This said, considering that the majority of Fortnite’s revenues are made up of players from other consoles such as PS4 and Xbox One, losing out for Apple products might not be that big of a loss.
In any case, Fortnite’s success will keep growing regardless of the legal troubles Epic Games remains in for at this point.
Fortnite HTML0 is available on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
