Players of Forza Horizon 5 discover a shortcut: Each week during Forza Horizon 5, the game will run through the seasons with new challenges to overcome and rewards to pursue.
A few of these challenges could have players jump an arbitrary distance in an exact car or be the winner of a custom race, and one race offers a significant shortcut to it.
Forza Horizon 5‘s event lab tool allows players, and players and Playground Games, the development studio, to build their tracks for all to join in and race on.
Sometimes the community will find and exploit shortcomings in these tracks, specifically official labs for events.
The “Airfield UTV Cup” track is an obstacle route for Playground Games made using Forza Horizon 5‘s event labs feature.
One participant discovered that it’s possible to traverse half the track while still completing the entire lap.
In this Reddit video, the participant veers off the ramp just after the initial turn. And then sprints to the opposite part of the track.
To return to the track, the driver uses the gap between the warehouse. And a truck and then squeezes back on the way. The remainder of the video clip shows the participant finishing the lap without additional pitfalls.
At present, Playground Games has not removed the track from rotation or stopped the money. XP gain from finishing the lap.
Players of Forza Horizon 5 discover a shortcut
Usually, races of the Forza Horizon series are based on checkpoints on its course to ensure that the participants do not try to cheat by crossing it.
If a racer fails to pass an obstacle, the game sends them back to the checkpoints before crossing them.
Some shortcuts design to be there, for example, are featured in “Lucha de Carreteras” story missions. However, other shortcuts are not intentional, allowing players to win whenever they can.
In this instance, the checkpoints on the course were at locations that allowed players to skip half of the track.
Whether players are playing Forza Horizon 5 is on the hunt for treasure or searching for murals, small discoveries such as shortcuts always bring excitement within the community.
But, exploits aren’t always healthy for the overall well-being of games.
Exploits, even the tiniest of them, can reduce the quality of a game’s content by making it easier for players. To gain an advantage over other players.
One of the many vulnerabilities of Forza Horizon 5 was the nearly infinite wheelspins that allowed players to earn vast amounts of money and XP. This money later use for multiplayer races.
In the same way, as Playground Games fixed that exploit with an update. The developers will probably ensure that the same mistakes don’t happen again.
Forza Horizon 5 is now available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
