JiDion is permanently banned from Twitch: On the 12th of January, Twitch streamer JiDion invited a few of his followers and viewers to stage a “hate-raid” on his fellow streamer Pokimane.
The incident led to Pokimane having to stop her stream prematurely taught Twitch. To put JiDion under a 14-day suspension from the site. It claimed that he had violated the site’s guidelines.
The ban was issue just a week after the YouTuber got his account verified by the site, despite having an impressive presence on YouTube for several years before.
In the beginning, accepting the ban with a smile. JiDion insisted that this incident did not have anything to do with gender. But rather was a matter of how he saw Pokimane as an individual.
He went further to say, “you can defend your rights, as at the end of the day, we’re all equal. ” But within a couple of days, JiDion disclosed that Twitch had doubled down and placed his ban indefinitely.
In a tweet on his Twitter account, JiDion clarifies that his ban from Twitch should extend to 14 days for a first offense.

He admits that he entitle to ban; he believes the permanent ban placed for his account was unjust. And that the actions were not sufficient to warrant action on the website.
This is coming shortly following other streaming channels on the site, such as Amouranth, who alleged that Twitch should take its media ban more seriously and more open about the terms and whether they warrant.
JiDion is also of the opinion that Twitch has made the ban permanent because of pressure from the community of streamers which likely prompted by the status and fame of Pokimane on the platform and the huge fan base she has on social media.
Pokimane, whose real name is Imane Any, was in hot water since earlier in the week when she also barred from Twitch for streaming entire shows of Nickelodeon’s Avatar The Last Airbender live on her channel.
The breach of copyright by Nickelodeon’s parent firm Viacom has now brought Twitch’s copyright policy in doubt. Which could lead to a change triggered by the controversy and backlash Pokimane’s behavior has started.
Although it’s obvious Pokimane certainly has the potential to remain in the good graces of Twitch for the time being and her status as an essential participant on the platform unaffected.
However, JiDion’s position seems to be more uncertain, given that Twitch has not yet commented about the issue to date. And appears to be in a stalemate on the case overall.
JiDion’s followers, which includes his 3.57 million users to YouTube along with his 143.3 thousand followers on Twitter. He has started a campaign called #twitchfreejidion over the latter social media platform, hoping to reverse the ban.
JiDion has decided that he’ll make an effort to avoid future issues. If he gets an opportunity to re-enter the game and earn his account restored.
However, given the outpouring of support for Pokimane has received since the news. It’s to determine what the next steps will to address this issue and what next steps or steps to take.
