Shiny Plusle available in Pokemon GO: It was not until Gen 2 that it became a standard for every generation of Pokemon to have its own Pikachu. Gen 2 brought Pichu. Gen 3 brought Plusle, Minun, Gen 4, Pachirisu.
While I understand that Pikachu is the brand’s face, you don’t see Disney introducing Mickey Mouse knockoffs every few decades.
At least, not anymore. Speaking of tiny electric creatures, how about shiny Plusle in Pokémon GO?
For this week’s Spotlight Hour, January 18th at 6:05 PM, it has been confirmed that Plusle will be the highlighted Pokemon.
Plusle is the positive half of Gen 3’s personal Pikachu pair. Pluses will be more common during the Spotlight Hour.
All catches will result in double the catch candy (not that it matters since Plusle doesn’t evolve).
It’s easy to wonder if there are any Pluses out there. So do you? You are, thankfully.
Shiny Plusle in Pokémon GO?
The shiny version of Plusle was introduced to Pokemon Go in 2018 during the Pokemon GOT Fest. It is possible to find one during the Spotlight Hour boosted spawns.
It isn’t easy to distinguish a shiny Plusle from its regular counterpart due to its unique colouration.
A shiny Plusle has slightly darker ears, cheeks and hands than a regular Plusle. You don’t have to be a snob if you see a shiny Pokemon.
