Pokemon Unite will compete in the Pokemon World Championships
The championships, also know as “Worlds,” gather Pokemon players from all over the world. And considered the top level of competitive games across the Pokemon world.
Worlds started in 2004 with the Pokemon Trading Card Game tournament and have since expanded to include the most current and modern RPG video games and the combat games like Pokken Tournament.
October saw the announcement that Pokemon GO also revealed as a possible addition to Worlds 2022 tournaments.
Although details are not yet finalize the Pokemon Unite’s Worlds tournament will focus on teams, not players individually.
It will be a fierce season to clear out the teams that qualify for Worlds.
Hoshino’s letters also hint at the launch of a new tournament called Unite that will level the playing field regarding the heavily upgraded held Items. That was the focus of the controversy over this game’s debate over pay-to-play.
Hoshino added that the game would be translated into various languages, such as Hindi and Russian.
The next Pokemon World Championships scheduled to hold in August and London, England.
