Kelsey Grammer says they have some good ideas for the Frasier reboot.
Kelsey Grammer has provided an update on the upcoming Frasier reboot, as well as the cast members of the show. The 1993 show is considered one of the greatest comedy series of all time and provided a fantastic spin-off for Grammer’s Cheers character.
Grammer played the title character, Frasier Crane, on the original series that ran for eleven successful seasons on NBC from 1993 to 2004. Frasier is a therapist and radio show host who struggles to replicate the success of his talk show in his Personal life.
During an interview with NJ.com, Grammer shed some light on the planned reboot and whether the next series would see the return of the original members of the ensemble.
“We are kicking it. We have a couple of ideas and we are quite happy with where we are now. We’re not so sure if everyone will come back, but I know there is a third act for Frasier. He certainly still has a lot to explore. “
The original series also starred David Hyde Pierce as Frasier’s brother, Niles, the late John Mahoney as Frasier’s father, Martin, Jane Leeves, and Peri Gilpin.
A reboot of the acclaimed show was announced earlier this year. The reboot is expected to air on Paramount + sometime next year.
