Genshin Impact 2.7 postponed: Speculations of a delay of Version 2.7 have been stirring behind the scenes for quite some time, and it appears these rumors have come true. Players won’t be able to download the next edition of Genshin Impact anytime soon.
Unfortunately, HoYoverse has revealed that Genshin Impact Release 2.7 will postpon without any formal indication of when the version will drop.

HoYoverse didn’t indicate why the delay was taking place (apart from mentioning “project progress,” meaning the update was not able to finish). But it more than likely has to do with the coronavirus crisis in Shanghai. As lockdowns continue to plague the city where HoYoverse is based.
“For comprehensive information on the timing of the new update, content adjustment plan. And compensation, please stay tuned for upcoming announcements,” read the official Twitter post.
The leaker Lumie reported a “questionable leak” that 2.7 would delay by 3 weeks. However, this has not confirm or validated by any official sources. It’s also unknown how HoYoverse aims to fill in the gaps between Version 2.6 and Version 2.7.
