Every update to the Genshin Impact update goes through a beta phase that begins when the previous patch is released.

Developer miHoYo has come up with an interesting method of revealing new characters before their arrival. Possibly since they could leaks either way when the beta update arrives.

A tweet from an authentic Genshin Impact leaker called SaveYourPrimos has made it clear that the five-star characters will release in 2 banner seasons.
