Twitch Change: Twitch has a large user base and a lot of controversies. Communication is an essential priority for Twitch moving forward, especially disputes such as bans and users leaving the platform.

Twitch made a small but vital change to reflect this. A message will now display to users who visit a Twitch channel closed.

Twitch posted a tweet this afternoon announcing the change and briefly describing it. When Twitch viewers go to a channel that has suspend or deleted, they will see an error message.

A Twitch streamer will see a message saying, “This channel was closed by the user.” It will say, “This channel has been closed by the user due to a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Services.”

These errors will be visible on a flat background with a small ghost icon and a button labeled “Browse channels.”

Twitch users had previously left without any information about what might have happened to a Twitch Channel if removed. Users would get the message, “Sorry.

This content is not available unless you have a time machine. A Twitch subscriber or follower could log on to see their favorite streamer disappear, but they didn’t have any real answers or clues as to where they were.

It’s not difficult to see why the situation before needed to be improved. It’s about users being informed about what they might be investing in, even if not monetarily.

It’s not about providing a better user experience. Still, it’s also about preventing users from going to Reddit or Twitter where they might dissatisfy with the situation and possibly introducing negativity into the community.

Twitch isn’t transparent about its changes. Users will not inform about the details of a Twitch streamer ban. The Twitch streamer can share the details of their ban and how long it has been. Twitch will not share the personal information of users.

This is a significant improvement for Twitch as an online platform. It just shows that Twitch still has many options to improve its website and support Twitch in ways that might not be immediately obvious.
